Start Smart with Rochester PreK in the RCSD
If you are a city resident and your child will be 3 or 4 years old by December 1, enroll them for FREE PreK starting this fall.
PreK is available at 50 locations citywide, including two new centers and includes multilingual classes, potty training, community aftercare options and bus pass if needed.

School is out. Summer meals are in!
Kids and teens ages 2 to 18 can get FREE breakfast and lunch this summer at school and community locations all across the Rochester community. Meals are served June 29 - September 4, 2026.
4th Annual Special Education Resource Fair
Join us for our 4th Annual Special Education Resource Fair on Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Dr. Iris J. Banister School No. 33.
Whether you are currently navigating special education services or just starting to wonder if your child needs extra support, we have something special day packed with learning opportunities and resources for parents and fun activities for the kids!
Teach Rochester

2026-27 Address Changes
Do you plan on moving this summer? RC8 wants to make sure that our families are ready for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8! To guarantee transportation on the first day of school, all changes in pick-up and drop-off locations must be in no later than Friday, July 31, 2026.
Families can also scan the QR code below to submit an address change. Please note that caregivers must upload proof of residency and a photo ID of the parent/legal guardian.
